Tips for Visitors

Best Time to Visit

Late spring (April–May) and early fall (September–October) offer warm weather with smaller crowds. Summer is peak season — book early.

Getting Around

A car is helpful but not always necessary. The Galveston Island Trolley runs along the Seawall and through the Strand Historic District.

Cruise Travelers

If you're departing on a cruise, consider arriving the night before. Galveston Booking offers $75 VIP parking and storage (up to 7 days) — call (817) 781-8899 to arrange.

Beach Safety

Always check the flag system at Galveston beaches. Green = safe, yellow = caution, red = dangerous conditions. Rip currents can be strong.

Dining Reservations

Popular restaurants fill up fast on weekends and during summer. Make reservations in advance, especially for dinner.

Parking Tips

Parking along the Seawall can be limited in summer. Arrive early or use paid lots near the main attractions. Our cruise parking service is available year-round.

Parking Near Pleasure Pier

We have parking available directly across from the Pleasure Pier! It's a prime spot right in the heart of the action on the Seawall. To reserve your space, simply inquire at (817) 781-8899.
